Implementation Status

On September 23, 2003, a contract between RWA and the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) was officially executed for the $43 million American River Basin Conjunctive Use Program (ARBCUP). The contract expires December 31, 2008. Each of the project's twelve components is being implemented by RWA participating agencies according to its own schedule. As each component satisfies its requirements for receiving disbursed funds, RWA will invoice DWR on behalf of the individual program participants for an amount up to 50 percent of the project cost. Reimbursement will be on a 50/50 basis; that is, for each local agency dollar expended DWR will match that dollar.

The table below lists the twelve project components, participating agencies, status information including the approximate percent completion after construction has begun, and links to photos of the project components. The projects require a Notice of Determination/Notice of Exemption (NOD/NOE), legal certification that there were no challenges to the NOE/NOD, and final design certified by a California Registered Civil Engineer prior to any reimbursement of grant funds from DWR.
