Here's a look at some examples of current offerings:

See How Their Garden Grows
San Juan Water District's Water Efficient Landscape (WEL) Garden features new and exciting landscaping ideas that don't require lots of water. The garden, located behind the district's offices in Granite Bay, is open Monday through Friday to showcase the latest trends in water efficient gardening. See www.sjwd.org for more details.

Free Water Efficiency Surveys
Placer County Water Agency offers free water efficiency surveys for its residential customers. A water efficiency specialist makes house calls to review indoor and outdoor water needs, recommends ways to water more efficiently, and leaves behind water-saving devices and other helpful information. More details are available at www.pcwa.net.

Learn How to Save Water and Energy
Fair Oaks Water District has tips for reducing water and electricity demands. Changing outdoor watering patterns and other steps can ease demands on the energy grid and save water. See www.fowd.com for more tips.

Switch to an Ultra-Low Flush Toilet, Save Money
The City of Roseville is providing rebates to customers who replace their older toilets with new, ultra-low flush models that use 1.6 gallons per flush. The goal is to maximize water resources and get cost-effective water conservation results.
